Kitchen It With Inez: Omelet

Hey ladies,
After seeing so many of my favorite bloggers (High Heels & Good Meals, Full Figured Diva, BeautyFashFood Fashion & Flow just to name a few) post recipes, I thought it would be nice to start a new series on my blog.

Kit"chen" It w/Inez will feature a meal I've cooked, for now I'll try to do one post a month. I'll admit I am a VERY picky eater, make that extreme picky eater. LOL. I don't get to cook as often as I'd like to, however on the weekends I love cooking breakfast.

So today, I'm going to show you all one of my favorite Saturday breakfast meals. Meaty Omelet

What I used:
4 strips of Bacon (Bob Evans)
1 large egg
Green Pepper finely chopped
Onion finely chopped
a Slice of Ham finely chopped
Sprinkle of Lawry's Seasoning Salt
Dash of Lemon Pepper

Fry your bacon, or place it in the oven to cook. I normally cook my bacon in the oven but this time I fried it, I'm a pretty good bacon fryer and this method is much faster then the oven of course. I didn't feel like waiting on the oven. hehe I was hungry!

Don't forget to drain your bacon.

While your bacon is cooking cut up your veggies, ham and then a strip or two of your cooked bacon.

Add a little butter or PAM to your pan, on medium heat, and then add your chopped veggies and meat. I found the smallest cutesy pan at Homegoods. It's perfect for omelets!

While the fillings cooking, crack your egg and add just a sprinkle of lemon pepper and seasoning salt to your egg. You don't need a lot. Whisk lightly.

By this time, it's smelling pretty good in your kitchen! After a few minutes add your egg to the pan, making sure the egg is level and covering the bottom of the pan.

Lower the heat and let cook for a few minutes. You will notice the egg will begin to rise.

 See?!

This  is when I I fold it and flip it. Don't forget to throw you a piece of toast or two in the toaster.

Can't forget the O.J spiked with Moscato!
