Ty| Words and Wardrobes
Ty of Words and Wardrobes fashion is sense is so inspiring! What I love most about Ty is that she shows her readers how to get the most out their wardrobes by remixing pieces in it. Ty's use of color and pattern mixing is always unique, sophisticated yet still manages to be playful. Ty holds a degree in journalism and is a published writer, she definitely proves that style and smarts can coexist. I'm sure you'll be inspired by her words as well as her style as I have!
What prompted you to start your blog?
I had just lost my job and needed something to keep me busy
when I wasn’t job-hunting. In the beginning, it was simply a personal style
blog and a place for me to document my thoughts about the fashion industry, but
last month marked the two-year anniversary of my site and I started thinking
about where I want to go from here—my ultimate goal is to be an online resource
inspiring women to get the most out of their wardrobe.
What are your fashion must haves?
Five things that have become part of my signature style are
animal prints, textured handbags and clutches, mixed prints, sky-high stilettos,
and all things cobalt blue.
How would you describe your style?
I always use the same two words to describe my style:
constantly evolving. My style now isn’t what it was when I started ‘words &
wardrobes’ in 2010—I experiment more and have a better grasp on what works for
my body and my lifestyle.
What's the one thing you enjoy most about being a blogger?
For me, the best thing is having ‘creative control’—I can
write what I want to write how I want to write it, and there’s no one to censor
me. I can design my site to look the way that I want it to look. I can take it
in a new direction if I want to. The freedom is exciting and inspiring, and it
creates endless possibilities.
Isn't she fabulous, I know I'd love to raid her accessories and shoes!!
