I still cannot believe that we are having such beautiful mild weather in February. When I took these pictures the sun was shining and the temp was about 40 degrees. I'm definitely not complaining, but I'm hoping we aren't hit with a massive amount of winter payback in April or May, lol.

Do you have any items that have become wardrobe staples in your closet? Well, I recently purchased this ~~leather~~ well ~~pleather~~ jacket, make that faux leather jacket, hehe, from Target and I'm absolutely loving it! I have already worn it a bunch of times and I can't get enough of it!

Of course my leopard print scarf from Old Navy is also a wardrobe staple item for me. I've worn it over and over and over again! My bag from A Girls Next Best Friend and you have a few of my staple items in one outfit.

Thrifted Goodies + #FDThrift Event

Yesterday, Erika and I hosted the very first FASH DET thrift store crawl! I was so excited to finally meet in person so many FASH DET members! It was a great event, with such a great turnout! I would like to again thank everyone for coming out!

We met at Caribou Coffee in Royal Oak and soon after ventured out to a few pretty awesome vintage and thrift stores in downtown Royal; Salvation Army, Royal Oak, Lost and Found, Chocolate Shop Vintage, and Paris were the stores we shopped.

I made sure I purchased something from each store and I definitely tried not to go overboard I'm really becoming addicted to the "hunt"! I did pretty good and so did everyone else! :)

The Point of it All: Romance 101

Hey Yall,
So I wasn't sure if I was going to share these pictures with my blog family, mainly because I didn't want to be too personal or mushy on the blog. After I thought about it though this surprise from my honey was just too sweet not to share. I hope you don't mind.

The day after my birthday my Honey surprised me with the most amazingly sweet birthday gift I've ever received. It included a blindfolded car ride in which he insisted that I wear a blindfold and stop asking so many questions...lol. As we drove I became more and more anxious to find out where we were going. My heart began to beat fast as the anticipation grew.

The ride was filled with love songs from a couple of my favorites, Anita Baker and Raheem Devaughn, it was so sweet!!! Of course I couldn't hold back my questions and anxiousness. After a little over an hour we arrived.

My honey told me to wait and to not peak so I did just that. He was back within a minute or so and led me to the unknown. I was scared to walk but he reassured me I was safe. I was completely shocked, it was amazing! It was sooo sweet! He had Anthony Hamilton's "The Point of it All" playing, candles lit and rose pedals laid out! I tried to take everything in!

When I took my blindfold off this is what I saw:

We had our very own pool and sauna in our suite! Amazing!

I am falling more and more in love with my honey every day. We have grown so much within this past year and although our "story" is still being written, I'm looking forward to every bit of it. I love you Honey and thanks so much again for the BEST, Sweetest and most Romantic birthday ever! I love you!

My Honey didn't want to fill me in on where we were so I had to do a little digging! After putting my research skills to work, I figured out we were at the Belamare Suites in Petersburg, OH. I would highly recommend them for a romantic evening! Just in time for Valentines Day :)

It's Been a Long Time Coming....

....and although I've enjoyed the ride for most part...the time has come to make that change. I have finally decided to do what I've been comtemplating for the past few months and I know by now you're wondering what that means?! Right?

Well, as you may or may not know I've have been having technical issues with blogger. I have researched it, and I've decided to finally make the switch to WordPress! I will be migrating my blog over the weekend!

As you know blogger is discontinuing the Google Friend Connect (GFC) feature for non blogger sites on March 1st, you can read all about it here, in this great post by IFB.

Twenty +9 = BornDay

Hey Yall,
So, I celebrated my 29th birthday last Tuesday on January 17th. Can I first say that my birthday was pretty amazing?! I enjoyed dinner with family and close friends on my birthday at Duo Restaurant & Lounge which is newly opened. I loved the ambiance and our waiter was pretty awesome! I can't wait to go back. Wednesday, I had a pretty spectacular surprise...I will fill you in on that in my next post! :)) I honestly have no complaints this year! This is probably one of my favorite birthdays so far! Special thanks to my honey and family, love yall!

On to what I wore!

I ordered this faux leather pleated skirt from the Jennifer Lopez Collection at Kohl's right after Christmas. I had wanted a (p)leather skirt ever since I missed out on the one H&M offered. I have to say I really lucked out when I saw this online, it is simply amazing! I love the fit and the soft pleats add a nice touch! It was also on sale when I purchased it! SCORE!

Once I received the skirt I knew I would wear it on my bday! It's amazing, I paired it with a polka dress that I'm wearing as a shirt that I thrifted during a recent trip with Erika. I begged her to let me have it and she did! hehe! I added my thigh high boots from Bakers along with my H&M animal print clutch and here you have my birthday look! I'm also wearing my Cookie Lee bracelets from my giveaway win from Kiah! :)

I really love the way this outfit turned out!

I Have a Blogger Secret

Hey Yall!

Before you beat me up for not posting at all for the last week and a half...I want you to know I have a ton of updates to share that I think you're going to love!!! As you know I'm still playing catch up on many of my posts, this is one of them....

The fabulous Kourtney of Cheap Chic & Curvy had the awesome idea of us doing a blogger secret Santa. What a great idea! Kourtney took care of the name "pulling" and emailed us all the details. I also received a surprise gift from Kourtney in the mail a couple days ago! She gifted me with some amazing **brand new** fuchsia Ralph Lauren pants that she thrifted! They are amazing and fit great! Thanks so much Kourtney!!! I love them and they're my favorite color! YESSS Please!

I knew that whomever had received my name would have some fun choosing a gift for me! We were asked to give a list of items, however, I wanted my Secret Santa to gift me with something they thought would fit me so I didn't give a list. :) I hoped I didn't drive my Secret Santa crazy with that decision...hehe!

When I received the package in the mail...I knew exactly who my Secret Santa was, because I had just recevied a fabulous package from winning her awesome blog giveaway! Admittedly, I was very anxious to see what Prissy had gotten for me! Prissy gifted me this amazing wrap! It is a pretty grey color and I honestly can't wait to wear it! :)

Prissy even mentioned that she owns a few wraps herself and loves them! I can't wait to style it, and hopefully see how Prissy wears hers too. Thank you so much Prissy! :))

A Little Mustard

Hey Yall,

I've had the worst headaches lately and today I stayed home and slept most of the day with my head under the pillow after taking my migraine medication. I was not going to post at all today because well honestly I was supposed to do my post last night and I was too tired, and I could feel another headache coming on. Well as you know I'm still playing a bit of catch up with my post! I am sooooo behind. I don't even think I had the chance to tell you all that a few of us bloggers participated in a Secret Santa hosted by Kourtney of Cheap Chic and Curvy. Kourtney had the awesome idea of us all participating in a blogger secret santa. This was sooo much fun and it was great to see what everyone received.

Detroit Fashion Collective Launch

Detroit Fashion Collective| Launch Party

The DFC was founded by Adriana Pavon who saw the need for a unique and independent creative fashion community within the city of Detroit. The DFC focuses on accelerating independently owned fashion businesses and a mission to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit of design students. The DFC services include: fashion design, hair and makeup, photography, wardrobe and image consulting, manufacturing and consulting and workshops and seminars. source (paraphrased)

Erika and I were invited to attend the private launch party of the DFC, which took place at the studio space that will house the DFC. The launch was filled with networking, great food catered by Chef Chris Lawshea and drinks. Mixing and mingling was the order of the night; meeting and chatting with Adriana, the mastermind behind the DFC, and other movers and shakers in the city, as well as exploring the space were the highlights of the evening. It was truly an amazing launch and we were proud to represent FASH DET!

As many of you may or may not know, I’m asblind as a bat...hehe! I have worn contacts for years now, but was in desperate needof a new pair of eyeglasses. Rocquelle | Consider Me Lovely

Rocquelle of Consider Me Lovely is a complete sweetheart! What I love most about her style are the feminine accents and it's unexpected edginess. Rocquelle mixes patterns and textures on a regular and has a way of pairing the unexpected. I'm always excited to see what she will pair next. Did I mention her shoe and accessory collection is drool worthy? As if she needed anything to top that...her hair...OMG, those locks are beautiful! Well, I know I certainly consider Rocquelle lovely...it would be pretty hard not to! See for yourself!

What prompted you to start your blog?

Consider Me Lovely isn’t my first blog (I’ve had a few that I gave up on over the years), and it started as a wedding blog that infused fashion because I was interested in being a wedding planner last year. Nonetheless, my true love lies in fashion, particularly personal style, and I considered myself to be just as, if not more, stylish than some of the blogs I read on a daily basis! So, in February 2011, I decided to make Consider Me Lovely a personal style blog! (Sorry for being so longwinded, but that’s the short version, lol)

What are your fashion must haves?

I must have it all! lol But no really... midi skirts, skinny pants, 5 inch heels, vintage blouses, oversized sweaters, nail polish (it’s fashion in my book) and lots of modern and vintage jewelry!

How would you describe your style?
Eclectic and feminine with a bit of edge.

What's the one thing you enjoy most about being a blogger?

The people I’ve met both virtually and in real life!! I’ve “met” so many people through blogging that I have connected with; I didn’t realize how lovely and down to earth bloggers are when I was just a reader. What I love most though is the personal emails and comments I receive from readers telling me I inspired them in someway; those always seem to come just when I need to be inspired myself :-).

I'm so glad that many of you have chosen to link up and join FASH DET and show us just how you Rock: Outerwear!! I can't wait to see your looks!

I chose to wear my everyday look for this challenge, I had wanted to wear another scarf and glove set but I couldn't find my other glove! HA! I hope you like my look, the coat I purchased 2 winters ago at Burlington Coat Factory it's Dereon. I actually love it, its pretty much a statement piece on it's on. I love the collar on it!

My hat and gloves are from K-Mart which were on sale for like $2 bucks each. I never shop Kmart, but I went to find t-shirts....it seems that everything in the store was practically on sale so I may head back one day to see what goodies I can find.

My scarf is from Old Navy, which you've seen a billion times. LOL, and you'll see a million more! My booties are from Bakers, I wore them last year for my bday! Love them too! :)

Hey Yall!

Today, I'm participating in Collette's of Statements in Fashion Colors of Christmas Linkup. Collette is a fellow member of FASH DET, so of course I have to support her linkup! My bbff Erika had the great idea of us styling the gold H&M dress, Erika had previously worn hers here, and although I've worn mine I had yet to post it on my blog.

Shoutout to Prissy of Rush Our Fashion for selling this beauty in her online shop, I love it and I'm so glad I snatched it up! It was new with tags too, just in case you're wondering. Be sure to check out Prissy's shop alot of things there are new and oh so cute!!! LOL, yes I'm in the #enabler spirit, Prissy!! Prissy even suggested that I wear this dress with teal, and I love the pop of color with it.

Erika's idea for us to style the dress in a Naughty & Nice inspired way was the best idea ever! We decided to meet up for a mini photoshoot and this is what we came up with! We hope you like our pictures! :D We LOVE them by the way!

This awesome bag is from my bff aunts, who was like an aunt to me, Auntie Lilly's closet. Auntie Lily passed away and I attended her funeral last month. Her husband was kind enough to allow us to look through her things and pick out what we liked. I feel honored to have soooo many of her awesome pieces. Auntie Lily was an avid thrifter and shopper and a Diva!!! Most of her items still had the tags on them...I had to laugh while peeking through her things, because I'd say, where was Auntie going in this; or ohhhh hott mama!

Auntie Lily was such a sweet soul and she will be missed! Wearing her items will remind me of just how special she was!

Corie of Its My Taste is truly a woman with style. What I love most about Corie's style is it's effortless! She has a knack for spicing up casual outfits in ways that I would have never thought of! Corie manages to give us great look after great look, whether it be playful, sophisticated, casual or professional Corie definitely has mastered her style and taste and I love it! I'm sure you'll agree and be inspired, see for yourself!

What prompted you to start your blog?
When I moved to Atlanta from Milwaukee; leaving my family and friends behind, I started a monthly newsletter. The newsletter documented everything going on with my daughter and I in a new city. It was well received. It was also time consuming and pricey. Around 2008 is when I discovered 'blogs'. There were lifestyle blogs, photography blogs, fashion blogs and so much more. In late 2009 I decided to start my own blog. What started off as more of a lifestyle blog...somehow turned into a fashion blog. It became a hobby.

What are your fashion must haves?

Since we're in Fall, I would have to say you can't go wrong with having a cozy pullover sweater; I'm in love with all of the sweaters at Old Navy right now. Also, midi skirts are what's in; I purchased quite a few that I haven't worn just yet, but you'll be seeing them very soon. Let's not forget tights; I stocked up on these. I have just about every color and texture you can think of, can't wait to pair them with something awesome. Overall...a LBD is a must have, along with a black blazer (definitely a key item in my wardrobe), and a classic trench coat.

How would you describe your style?

I tend to wear what I like....or what fits my mood, regardless of whether it suits my usual aesthetic. I like comfortable, feminine, stylish, and fresh pieces. Comfy is my motto. If I don't feel comfortable in it, I'm not wearing it.

What's the one thing you enjoy most about being a blogger?

It's challenging, it's stimulating, and fun. I've met some awesome people in the blogosphere. I've joined some wonderful communities, and can honestly say that I really enjoy the creativity they foster. I've get so much inspiration from bloggers everywhere....I only wish I'd started blogging sooner.

Krystin of Be Loud Be You I must admit stopped me in my tracks. I'm not quite sure how I stumbled upon her blog but once there I was enamored with her style and effortless chicness. Her style is very classic but with a sexy twist. Featuring Krystin today is a great way of introducing her to you all yet it also allows me to get to know more about myself as I just recently found her blog. I'm definitely hooked now!

What prompted you to start your blog?

I love fashion but honestly I wasn't at all into blogging until I stumbled across the blog Karlas Closet. Which is a fabulous blog by Karla Deras, she was really the inspiration that I needed to start my blog. I wanted a way to express my love of fashion especially to mothers. I wanted moms to know we can be fashion forward, have fun, and be great moms all at the same time.

What are your fashion must haves?

If I had to pull a few items out of my closet that I can't live without, it would be my YSL Tribute sandals, Ray Ban sunglasses, DVF trench, a pair of leather pants, and a cocktail dress lol. But I think every woman must have a killer pair of heels, a sexy shade of lipstick, and statement jewelry. If you have those three things you'll always be able to put together a fab outfit.

How would you describe your style?

I would describe my style as sexy yet sophisticated and classy. I've never really been a fan being super exposed, I've always believed that you don't have to bare it all to be sexy. I try to represent who I really am with my style and stay true to what makes me feel good. That's what I encourage my readers to do. I came up with the title of my blog, Be Loud Be You, with the idea that everyone should love who they are and feel confident in expressing themselves.

What's the one thing you enjoy most about being a blogger?

The best thing about blogging is the comments people leave on my blog. Everyone is so supportive and has so many kind things to say. I work really hard to produce the best product I can and knowing that my readers appreciate that is such a beautiful thing. I am truly grateful for that.

Spanx!!!!!! I love dresses and its absolutely horrible when you see those bulges. Spanx just smooths everything and a good quality dress shirt.

How would you describe your style?My style is all over the place. I used to be a tomboy, so I think you can see glimpses of that in my style. Its very laid back and not too fussy.

What's the one thing you enjoy most about being a blogger?

The best part about being a blogger is receiving all the positive emails. I love it when I can share my knowledge with my readers or when I can positively affect girls. My Hip Ahoy post is my most popular post ever. I got so many emails after I did that post. It was basically saying you be yourself, not matter what size you are. As long as your happy thats all that matters.

This weekend is sure to be a fun one in the city of Detroit. I plan to attending three events all to support local artists, retailers and entrepreneurs. I'm excited for the city and I can't wait to recap you all on these events!

Painting With A Twist

Hey, hey yall! Well I was too excited after tonights events I just had to draft up this post before heading to bed. I just couldn't wait to show you all what I created! What you ask? Well...

Erika invited me to attend the Ladies Night Out event for November with herself and her awesome friends! One of ladies was celebrating her birthday and she decided to celebrate with "Painting With a Twist". Erika had told me about Painting with a Twist, something I had never heard of, but based off her rave reviews and artwork I'd seen, I knew I wanted to go well, better yet I had to!

We all painted Geisha Girl led by our awesome instructor Dennis, he was awesome, silly and made the class fun and easy! We all start off with an outlined canvas and Dennis showed us all step by step how to create our masterpieces! LOL.

I really enjoyed every bit of it...! Including the wine! Yes, you got it, that's the "twist" in it all, you get to bring along a bottle of wine and enjoy "Painting with a Twist". Ummm, yes please sign me up! LOL!

Hey Yall!

Well I hope you all had an enjoyable thanksgiving! I sure did, it was filled with laughs, good times and good eats with the family. My task for thanksgiving was the sweets I ended up baking 4 dozen cupcakes for the kids, 1 lemon pound cake and 7 sweet potato pies. They were all a huge hit and oh so yummy. If you follow me on instagram (stylechic360), FB or twitter you would have seen the snapshots of the goodies.

How cute is this Forever 21 polka dot dress? You may remember seeing it here when I wore it the 71 POP grand opening. I decided to wear it paired with some tights and my Jennifer Lopez pumps from Kohls. I threw on my turquoise jacket from wetseal that is ages old my orange statement necklace and here you have this little outfit I wore to church.

Would you believe I'm wearing two dresses? Yup I also have on a puffy black dress from F21 underneath this dress. I don't own a slip and wanted the bottom of this dress to be a bit more puffy so adding the puffy dress underneath did the trick. Both dress are cut the same way so it worked.

Clouds + Wind + BDIB

I'm learning constantly that life doesn't always go your way but certain things are necessary for us to "grow" through. Notice I didn't say go through. There are things and people that move like the clouds and flow like the wind. In and out...one thing is constant is my growth.

I'm thankful that God has allowed me to grow through all of my trials and tribulations. He's even allowed growth during my joys. Nothing I go through is too hard for Him. People will always disappoint, I will even disappoint some, and my even disappoint myself. One things for sure. God never disappoints. I'm learning to put my faith and trust in him no matter the season or "weather."

I wore this outfit to church on a windy cloudy day. The weather fit my mood that day and it gave room for reflection. But I couldn't stay gloomy for long.

I know that I'm truly blessed...I will continue to look to hills for my help. Knowing that it comes from the Lord. He will continue to give me peace and strength to make it through whatever the "wind" may bring. I have faith in His word. You know He will never put more on us than we can bear?!

It's pretty ironic that I drafted this post about a week ago, but never posted it, and then when I went to church on Sunday our ministers scripture around his sermon was: Proverbs 3:5-6. Which says: Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct they paths, God has seriously been speaking to me these past few months. He is truly amazing.

As stated these pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago, before finding out about the Bloggers Do it Better challenge: Military Chic. I was trying to figure out if I would participate and what I would wear and then I remembered this look. I think it works because of the jacket. Reminds me of the British military, not too literal.

Today was a very hectic day for me. I went to a funeral of a very sweet lady that was like an aunt to me. Death certainly has a way of putting life into perspective! Just remember to live each day to fullest!!

Feeling like a Million Bucks.....

I think it's ironic that I can feel so good in something that literally costs 99 cents! Yes, remember this awesome dress I picked up from Canton Goodwill it only cost 99 cent and was new with tags, no price was indicated on the original tags though! Well, I finally got a chance to wear it and I felt absolutely amazing in it. Like I stated in my previous post about this dress, its a size 6 petite, but do you see just how it works for me?! Proving that we should all be trying our clothes on! :) I am a size 16...!

When I purchased this dress I knew I wanted to wear it with boots, but I wasn't sure how else I would style it. Once on, I knew I wanted to let the dress shine and keep everything else pretty simple around it, so I chose against belting it. Mixbook=Love!

So a few months ago I won a giveaway hosted by Mixbook.com over at Baby Shopaholic. I knew right away when I won, I would not use the book for myself, but I would create a photobook complete with wedding photos, for one of my favorite cousins. The mixbook came out perfect, the online website is easy to use and personalize. The book is so beautiful, clean and professional looking umm yes, it's the bomb.com!

I was so pleased with it once I received it (shipping was ultra fast, by the way) I couldn't wait to present it to my cousin! If a picture is worth a thousand words, here are 6,000! Well let me first tell you all I am not pleased with the quality of my pics for this post at all. For some weird reason my pictures are very blurred and grainy ugh, I think Eboni jinxed me! HA! But yesterday I just didn't have it in me after returning home and viewing them, to venture out and retake them. So I apologize in advance!

I wore this outfit to church, and I really liked it! I had completely forgotten about this cape I purchased last year from Dots for about $2 I also purchased it in cream as well. It's wool and so cute. At the time, my best friend hated it and kept saying I should buy it and give it to her mom?! LOL! Are you kidding me! LOL. Next time I wear it I plan to "roughen" up the look a bit. What do you think?

Candyce Nicole of Right-Click Save is an Atlanta based fashion blogger. Initially, what drew me to Candyce Nicole's blog was it's name. I had seen the link to her blog a few times and the name intrigued me, one day I decided to take a peak. Once there I understood the name behind the blog. Candyce Nicole right clicks and saves her style files and uses them for inspiration. She shows us her inspiration and invites us to Right-Click Save her looks as well. I know I'm guilty of right clicking and saving, aren't you?

What prompted you to start your blog?

Whenever my friends would email me pics of cute outfits, I'd respond with *right-click save* to let them know I loved the look and just had to recreate it. After awhile, *right-click save* had caught on with them, and they were using the phrase to describe any fashionable photos they came across. I suddenly decided one day that I should start a blog with that name where I could share my favorite looks with others and show how I am inspired by the pictures I come across. Plus, I love to write and blogging has been a great outlet for me--especially since I work in the field of technology and don't get many chances to write creatively!

What are your fashion must haves?

A great pair of black pumps, a perfectly tailored blazer, a crisp white shirt, a sexy pencil skirt, jeans that make your butt look amazing, a bag you can carry for decades, and a classic trench coat.

How would you describe your style?

I'd say my style is evolving. That's kind of where *Right-Click Save* was developed. I experienced things in life that made me lose focus of my style and what I liked, and creating my blog has helped me rediscover myself and what I like. I can look at the outfit photos I seem to gravitate to and look for themes I may be subconsciously drawn to. But I think it's safe to say that I like to be a bit sexy and sassy with all of my looks haha.

What's the one thing you enjoy most about being a blogger?

My blog has become my refuge--the place where I can truly be myself. I've received such a warm response in such a short amount of time from other bloggers (like you, Inez!!) and readers and it just makes me feel like I'm doing something right. It feels amazing to be able to do something you love and also be well-received by others. I truly love my blogging family. Everyone is so supportive of one another!

I had an awesome weekend spent with family and friends! It was great! I won't get into a whole spiel about it, but it was amaze! Here is what I wore to church on Sunday. I have to say I been having the best luck thrifting items! The dress, earrings and clutch are all thrifted. The clutch is 100% genuine leather for $3 bucks and looks and feels brand new! I'm going to do a haul soon to show you all what I've scored, I've been finding some amazing pieces!

So as you all may have heard Dorothy Perkins, my favorite UK store, launched a US Site!!!!!! I am so excited about this launch and couldn't be happier! I really have to put my self on a shopping budget now because I am going to be broke, why did they do this to me?!?! LOL! I can't wait to place my first order on the US site, stoked! This striped dress is another from DP, it's so comfy, I recently belted it (with a green belt for a pop of color) and wore it as a shirt.

This skirt is one of my faves. It shows of my legs and is yet another comfy and versatile piece. I plan to wear this soon with some tights and my ankle booties.

Today, I'm wearing purple to spread the word that abuse is not love! October is domestic voilence awareness month. Today I wear purple in support of those affected. I've seen victims stay because they thought the abuse was love, I've heard the stories and seen the scars. I've seen the affects that verbal, physical and emotional abuse can have. Domestic violence is serious and it is not OK. If you are being abused I urge you to get out. You are worth so much more and don't deserve what's happening to you! It's not your fault.

Today, I smile for the victims who walked away from their abusers. I smile believing that someone that may be affected will find the strength to ask for help. One of my favorite bible verses is 1 Corinthians chapter 13, this chapter describes to us what true love is, I urge you to love and find love that mirrors the love God has for us.

The scripture tells us:

Love ispatient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

It isnot rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no recordof wrongs.

My Goodies...Ninety Nine Cent Edition

Hey!
I've been kinda of in a slump lately, I will admit. With the change in seasons I haven't found the time to take outfit pics. With the days getting shorter, and daylight hours decreasing, I have to rethink things. :) Don't worry I will have an outfit post up tomorrow, remember I will be wearing purple to support domestic violence awareness. I hope you will join in!

For now I'll show you all just a few items I've thrifted.

Faux Fur Vest: I've been wanting to try out this trend, I found this vest for under $10 bucks. I'm on the fence about it and I'm wondering if it's a bit too faux looking or not. lol. But I couldn't pass it up for the price. What do you think?

Colored Slacks. Ever since finding these amazing turquoise pants, I've been on the hunt for more colored slacks. These mustard colored pants were a steal at $3 bucks. Can't wait to wear them.

Boyfriend Blouse: I've been wanting a boyfriend type blouse for a little while and this fits perfect. It has that slouchy effect and I can't wait to wear it. It's polyester but has the flow of silk, great buy for under $4.

Striped Dress: Can I tell you all how excited I am about this dress I found it while attending a fashion show at the Canton Goodwill with Erika!!! First of all when I saw it, it was too cute to pass up, but I looked at the tag and it was a size 6petite of course you all know I'm no way near a size 6! But I just couldn't put this dress down it was too cute! I began to tug at it and decided to try it on (I try everything on), and to my disbelief it fit and doesn't look like it's too small. LOL. And it has pockets! Lovely!

And guess how much it cost, $0.99. Yes a new with tags dress for ninety nine cents!!!! This find not only proves that we should always try on clothes but it also proves I'm going to become addicted to thrifting!

I am so excited about this feature. Sacramento is such a beautiful person both inside and out. I remember when I first came across her blog, Mis Papelicos, I was in awe. She was simply stunning and had so much pizazz and style of course I also loved her cute little pixie hair cut too!!

What I admire most about Sacramento is that she is selfless, she dedicates knowledgeable and helpful posts that every blogger can relate to. Her online aura is just so sweet. I just love Sacramento, she is truly a blogging sweetheart. Now, of course this feature wouldn't be complete without me mentioning the beautiful skirts and accessories Sacramento wears. With every outfit I'm wishing I could go shopping with her, or at least borrow some of pieces. She is so fly! See for your self!

What prompted you to start your blog?
I have been keeping notes and cut-outs in notebooks, (that´s why the name of my blog: MIS PAPELICOS - my little papers or cut-outs) for as long as I can remember, so when my daughter started a blog for her business, I decided to have a go, and start my own.

What are your fashion must haves?
Skirts. I never have enough. I am developing a taste for dresses too, but to me a skirt is a starting point.

How would you describe your style?
I would like to think that my style is quirky rather than smart; with the knowledge to distinguish the thin line between quirky and clown. I like breaking rules and creating my own style base on the inspiration I get everywhere.

What's the one thing you enjoy most about being a blogger?
The people I am meeting in the blogosphere. All of you are not only kind and helpful but also very inspiring. It feels really good to be understood, and to speak the common language of passion for uniqueness, style and fashion.

Hey, Yall!!!! Ok! I have missed you all soooo much! I've definitely become so accustomed to my blogging "life" that I definitely had to post something today! I felt obligated!!!
