Resting in Paradise

I heard the news of Mia Amber Davis' passing yesterday. I was completely shocked at the news of her death. She was a plus size model and actress who you may have seen in the comedy Roadtrip and on runways and plus campaigns. She was a fierce plus model with a beautiful smile and gracious attitude.

I had the chance to see her in person a few years ago at a full-figured expo were she graced the runway. I always thought she was so beautiful and she was even prettier in person. She always to me, gave off a positive aura. I dabbled into Plus size modeling a few years back and she was a true inspiration to me and I'm sure many others.

Her passing and also the recent passing (on Mother's day) of a close friend of mines female cousin (in her early 30's) has really made me realize just how short life is. Life is truly a precious moment to be enjoyed not endured. We must really live each moment as if it were our last and to the fullest.

Rest in Paradise...Mia and Shonda.

  1. I'm sorry to hear of her, and your close friend's passing. There are no true words of comfort for this kind of heartbreak, but I agree with you, it serves as a reminder as to how fragile and precious life is. I am grateful for the days I've been given, and hope that before my expiration date, I've been able to share love and faith with others. xo. -Bella Q
