Out and About: Fuller Woman Expo Curves in Motion Show

Hey everyone!

Well as you know I've been a busy little blogger, hehe. I've attended so many events over the last few weeks and it's been a ton of fun! I had the pleasure of covering the Fuller Woman Expo that took place last weekend in Detroit. The weekend long event featured events catering to the fuller figured woman. I've attended the expo the last few years and didn't want to miss it this year. Next year I'm hoping to attend the entire weekend, hopefully things go as planned.

I attended the event on Saturday comedian Kim Coles was present being her silly self and also serving us with a little of her background and sharing and selling her inspirational life journal. She reminded us to utilize our G.I.F.T.S= Gratitude. Intentions. Forgiveness. Triumphs and Self Love. Her story was both comedic and inspiring.

There were many vendors present, catering to the wealth, health and and beauty of the plus size consumer.

The concluding act of the day was the Curves in Motion Fashion Show, hosted by comedian Erica Watson, a tradition at the expo that featured designs from:

Shanda Freeman’s Gemini Collection, available at Curvysta.com
Queen Grace Collection queengrace.com
KSY Plus ksyplus.com
Lee Lee Valise leeleesvalise.com
The Black Dress theblackdressonline.com
IGIGI igigi.com
Pheline Collection pheline.ca

Here are a few of the looks I loved the most. Aren't they fabulous?! Kudos to the beautiful ladies that rocked the runway, you ladies, killed it! Curvy girls rock!

IGIGI and the Gemini Collection
Queen Grace Collection and Pheline Collection
I must say I enjoyed the collections that were shown and I'd wear many of the dresses that were shown. Loved the prints especially!

Now, I have to share some of the amazingly 'stylish and chic' ladies I had a chance to meet.

These two ladies were my turban twins so I definitely had to get a snapshot of them. Loved both of their looks and they were from Detroit and representing well I must say! Love that red lip!

All in all, I had a great time at the expo, any chance I get to hang out with such beautiful women who love fashion as much as I do is a definite win in my book! Looking forward to next years events! Great job to Cassy Jones-McBryde and her team for a job well done!
